NiceHash CryptoCurrency Market Hacked

Over the past two years much attention has been paid to the world of crypto-currency. Bitcoin increased in popularity as with other crypto-currency coming to market back by block chain development. The profits made continue sore even, Bitcoin reached 13,000 this week, with supposedly new Bitcoin millionaires being made constantly. Questions about what tangible financial instruments back Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general have remained. The most potent question for any digital currency is in the security sector; and how vulnerable are these companies and the currency itself to hacking. It was widely believed to be very, very safe due to block chain technology, however nothing is full proof and we will all know more as hackers begin to test the market. The attacks of course, are mainly on the companies that mine bitcoins. It is important to note that as the price to mine bitcoins goes up the likelihood of theft does the same. Just this week the NiceHash was hacked and the loss is said to be in the tens of millions of dollars. The hack is recent, and NiceHas released a statement on it's website, here is a portion of their statement:

Official press release regarding the NiceHash security breach

"Unfortunately, there has been a security breach involving NiceHash website. We are currently investigating the nature of the incident and, as a result, we are stopping all operations for the next 24 hours."
